My Crafty Wife!

Sandra just finished her new "country" style apron. Isn't she talented! Carrie and Rebecca are now jealous and want their own. Carrie made dinner tonight, homemade spaghetti. She did a great job. She's going to be just like her mom.

Truly Blessed!

Today my wife took a picture of my daughter Carrie eating breakfast. Carrie is our middle child and has always been the petite one. I think she is going to go through a growing spurt here soon, apparently her appetite has grown already. We went to church today, as per every Sunday, and the pastor, my brother, taught from the book of Job. It's kinda hard not to reflect on my own situation in life and not feel blessed after hearing what this poor guy had gone through. Sometimes we don't know exactly what God has in store for our lives and I know I am truly blessed with an awesome wife and awesome kids. We have gone though a lot of financial struggles over the past two years and sometimes I wonder why things go the way they do. I truly believe that God has given me and my family a new plan for our lives and has blessed this move. We are still hear in Michigan and I can't wait to move. I will be traveling to Alabama next week to do some work on our property. I will post some pics of my progress.

Our First Blog!

Hey everyone! We are Bob & Sandra. We have 4 children, Cole (16), Cody (10), Carrie (9), and Becca (8). We are making the move from Michigan to Alabama. I am a builder and my wife is a homemaker and homeschool's our kids. We decided to follow our dream of a better way of life for our family. We wanted to put down roots in a place where people feel the same way we do about the important things in life like God, family, friends, and community. We have purchased 47 acres of wooded land in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Guntersville, Alabama. We are planning on building our log cabin home here. Our kids are exicited to meet new friends and start our new life. We decided that starting a journal was the perfect way to let family and friends know what's going on with our family without having to call and email pics to everyone each week. So we will continue to post as often as we can and feel free to send us emails or comments to let us know who's watching.
